A new clinical study published in JMIR Serious Games explored how embodying a tree in a virtual rainforest affects patients with depression and schizophrenia. The trial involved 60 participants, including those with major depressive disorder and schizophrenia. Furthermore, the findings lay the groundwork for innovative body psychotherapy interventions in clinical settings. Thus, healthcare providers can explore these digital tools to enhance standard psychiatric care.
