This study compared 58 patients with synchronous breast-thyroid dual primary malignancies (DBTMs) to 89 solitary breast cancer controls. DBTMs exhibited distinct clinicopathological patterns and worse 2-year recurrence/metastasis and survival rates. Analysis identified young age, ER positivity, and family history of breast cancer as independent risk factors for DBTMs, providing a framework for dual-cancer screening and targeted surveillance.
