Additionally, integrating specific advocacy skills into specialist training programs ensures that future leaders are well-equipped. Promoting mentorship and collaborative networks can further enhance the professional capacity to influence policy.
To promote health equity, bodies like the Faculty of Public Health must ensure specialists are treated as independent authorities. Addressing recruitment biases and expanding mentorship programs are also vital steps. Organizations should evaluate how their internal culture supports or suppresses advocacy. By doing so, they can create a more resilient health system capable of tackling complex public health challenges. Ultimately, fostering a supportive environment is the key to meaningful systemic change.
