While standard treatments like DMARDs are effective, they often cause significant side effects. Consequently, researchers are turning to bioactive compounds for a multi-targeted approach. Furthermore, these natural agents modulate crucial signaling networks. Therefore, they address inflammation effectively. In addition, they manage systemic complications without the heavy burden of conventional immunosuppression. Similarly, phytochemicals provide a safer profile for long-term use. Additionally, because they are natural, patients often tolerate them better. However, clinicians must evaluate their specific mechanistic utility.
Because the pathology of RA involves NF-κB activation, it drives excessive cytokine production. Moreover, the NLRP3 inflammasome further amplifies synovial damage. Consequently, future RA management may soon include these advanced natural formulations. Accordingly, physicians should stay updated on these emerging delivery systems. Therefore, the transition from bench to bedside is nearing.
