This intervention provides essential guidance on dietary practices to ensure a healthy gestation period. According to a comprehensive scoping review, structured programs significantly enhance nutritional knowledge and dietary habits. Furthermore, these interventions lead to better clinical results, although their effectiveness varies across different health conditions.
The scoping review analyzed 169 studies to evaluate the impact of educational interventions on clinical results. Researchers observed significant positive changes in gestational weight gain and maternal anemia levels. Additionally, mothers demonstrated improved attitudes and behaviors regarding their nutritional status. However, the review noted that nutrition education alone often fails to prevent gestational diabetes mellitus or hypertensive disorders.
