The National Medical Commission (NMC) has announced a crucial extension for the submission of the Annual Disclosure Report by existing medical colleges. This report is essential for the annual renewal of MBBS seats. It applies to the Academic Year (AY) 2026-27. The new NMC Annual Disclosure deadline is now June 10, 2026.

Why the NMC Annual Disclosure Deadline Extension?

Previously, the deadline for submitting the Annual Disclosure Report was May 30, 2026. However, the Undergraduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB) of the NMC observed many medical colleges had not yet submitted their reports. Several factors contributed to this. These included reported technical issues and requests for additional time from various institutions. Consequently, the Competent Authority granted a final extension. This ensures all colleges have the opportunity to comply.

Key Details for Compliance

All medical colleges and institutions holding a valid Letter of Permission (LoP) for the MBBS course must submit their Annual Disclosure Report. This must be done on the official NMC portal. This requirement is mandated by Regulation 4 of the Maintenance of Standards of Medical Education Regulations, 2023 (MSMER, 2023). Institutions must ensure they are registered with AEBAS to access the portal. Importantly, the information provided must be accurate and consistent across all NMC Boards. Submitted data cannot be edited post-submission.

Furthermore, medical colleges need to pay a mandatory fee of Rs. 3,54,000, inclusive of 18% GST. This payment must be made online via the portal’s payment gateway. No other payment methods will be accepted. Colleges can access the submission portal at https://application.nmc.org.in/.

Crucial Reminders for Medical Colleges

The NMC has clearly stated that the extension to June 10, 2026, is a "final opportunity". Therefore, no further extensions will be granted under any circumstances. It is advised that all stakeholders treat this matter with urgency. This will help avoid any issues with the annual renewal of MBBS seats.
