The NII PhD Admissions 2026 for the Monsoon Session are now open for aspiring researchers. Consequently, the National Institute of Immunology (NII) invites applications from candidates passionate about life sciences. Students can explore domains such as immunology and infectious disease biology. Additionally, the curriculum covers molecular and cellular biology, chemical biology, and computational biology. Applicants must hold a Master’s degree or a 4-year B.Sc./B.Tech. degree. Moreover, M.V.Sc. or MBBS graduates recognized by the Regional Center for Biotechnology are eligible. Candidates need at least 60% aggregate marks in their qualifying exams. However, a 5% relaxation applies to OBC NCL, SC, ST, PwD, and EWS categories. Crucially, a valid 5-year research fellowship from UGC, CSIR, ICMR, or DBT is mandatory.
The selection involves a rigorous offline interview conducted at the New Delhi campus. NII will notify the shortlisted candidates on May 11, 2026. Subsequently, the interviews will take place from June 8 to June 12, 2026. Outstation candidates may receive one-day accommodation at minimal charges. Finally, the program officially commences on July 6, 2026.
