Researchers have discovered that IL-39 in Myasthenia Gravis (MG) serves as a potent indicator of disease severity. This novel cytokine, a member of the IL-12 family, appears to play a critical role in the immune-mediated pathology of the condition.

Overall, IL-39 offers high diagnostic accuracy, as shown by an area under the curve (AUC) of 0.922. Doctors may soon use this measurement to improve personalized care for MG patients.
