The pace of hospital expansion in India has accelerated significantly due to recent multi-billion rupee investments. Specifically, US private equity giant KKR infused an additional ₹1,750 crore into Baby Memorial Hospital (BMH) via a rights issue. Additionally, experts expect the chain to achieve annual revenues of ₹2,500 crore by the end of the current financial year. Such financial milestones provide the necessary leverage for future acquisitions and infrastructure upgrades. However, the focus remains on maintaining high standards of tertiary care. This approach ensures that the rapid growth does not compromise patient outcomes or clinical quality. Therefore, the hospital group continues to invest in advanced medical technology and robotic surgery centers.
