This study of 1200 pregnant women found first-trimester neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) were significantly higher in those developing gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). NLR and PLR correlated with second-trimester glucose levels. A predictive model including NLR, PLR, and other factors achieved 78.87% accuracy. NLR and PLR are independent GDM risk factors, useful for early risk assessment.
