A recent ecological study suggests that breastfeeding and long-term immunity are closely linked. Researchers analyzed data from 159 counties in Georgia over a two-year period during the COVID-19 pandemic. Consequently, they found that communities with higher breastfeeding rates experienced a significantly lower burden of the disease.
