Medanta hospital expansion is driving significant financial growth for Global Health Limited. The company reported a 25.3 per cent year-on-year rise in total income during the fourth quarter. Consequently, revenue reached Rs 1,195 crore for the period ending March 2026. This performance showcases the robust demand for multispecialty healthcare services across India's urban centers.
The hospital chain's net profit jumped nearly 40 per cent to Rs 141 crore. Meanwhile, EBITDA increased by 17.4 per cent to reach Rs 290 crore. This growth occurred despite various operational challenges in the global market. Furthermore, the average revenue per occupied bed (ARPOB) increased by 4.8 per cent. Doctors and administrators view these metrics as indicators of high-complexity clinical work. Additionally, international patient revenue rose by 22 per cent YoY, reaching Rs 67 crore. However, flight disruptions due to regional conflicts caused a slight sequential decline in foreign patient numbers.
Medanta hospital expansion includes both brownfield and greenfield developments. Specifically, the group added 86 new beds in Patna and Noida during the last quarter. Looking ahead, the company expects to add 500 beds across its existing facilities within 12 months. Moreover, five greenfield projects will provide 2,700 additional beds over the next four years. This strategy aims to strengthen Medanta's presence in key regional markets. Consequently, the group is preparing for a significant increase in its total clinical capacity. Pankaj Sahni, Group CEO, highlighted that these projects remain on track to meet rising healthcare demands.
The newly inaugurated Noida facility showed remarkable progress in operational efficiency. For instance, quarterly losses at this site narrowed from Rs 32 crore to Rs 23.6 crore. The facility now operates 382 beds and 14 operating theatres. Similarly, bed occupancy across the group stood at 62 per cent. Out-patient counts also saw a significant increase of 18.7 per cent. These figures suggest that patients increasingly trust corporate hospital chains for specialized care. Overall, the financial year 2026 ended with a total income of Rs 4,508 crore for the group.
