The Haryana health budget 2026 introduces transformative measures to modernize the state's medical infrastructure. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini presented these ambitious proposals for the upcoming fiscal year. Consequently, the state aims to enhance grassroots clinical services and preventive care. This strategic investment reflects a significant increase in total health allocation compared to the previous year.

Expanding Infrastructure in the Haryana health budget 2026

The state government will establish 100 new health sub-centres and Ayushman Arogya Mandirs (AAMs) across Haryana. These facilities serve as the primary units for rural healthcare delivery. Health workers at these centers carry out vaccinations and provide antenatal care for pregnant women. Moreover, the government will set up 17 new Primary Health Centres in several districts including Gurugram and Faridabad. This expansion ensures that medical assistance reaches the most remote areas. Furthermore, the CM proposed a Rs 100 crore allocation to strengthen fire-fighting systems in public hospitals. This initiative will specifically focus on preventing untoward incidents in district and sub-divisional facilities.

Specialized Care for Women and Adolescents

Cervical cancer prevention is a major cornerstone of the new budget proposals. The government will provide free HPV vaccinations to 3 lakh girls between 14 and 15 years of age. Additionally, the 'Har Nari, Swasth Nari' initiative will lead to the creation of special clinics in every district. These clinics will offer dedicated services for maternal and reproductive health. Thus, the state demonstrates a strong commitment to long-term preventive oncology for adolescent girls.

Senior Citizen Welfare and Mental Health

The budget also prioritizes the needs of the elderly population through several innovative schemes. All citizens above 70 years of age will receive free blood testing facilities regardless of their income. Furthermore, the state will train 1,000 elderly caregivers to provide home-based medical support. Senior Citizen Welfare Clubs will also be established to foster social engagement among retirees. Consequently, these measures aim to improve the overall quality of life for Haryana's seniors.

Mental health services will also receive a significant boost under these proposals. The government will appoint one dedicated counsellor at every community health centre. These professionals will visit schools and colleges to offer psychological support to students. Therefore, mental wellness will become an integral part of the public health framework.
