"Wherever the art of Medicine is loved, there is also a love of Humanity."
— Hippocrates

Fish-mouthing refers to a focal reduction in the device's diameter at its ends. It occurs when the braid fails to expand fully against the vessel wall, which creates a shape resembling a fish's mouth.
Correct wall apposition ensures the device provides a stable scaffold for neointimal growth. Additionally, it reduces the risk of blood flowing behind the stent, which can cause thrombosis or prevent the aneurysm from healing.
