A systematic review and meta-analysis assessed the benefits of exercise intervention on sleep in patients with cognitive impairment. Overall, 8 studies (n=486) were analyzed. Findings indicated that physical exercise improves sleep quality and total sleep time. Multi-component exercise showed superior results. Hence, exercise may offer non-pharmacological approach to improve sleep in cognitive impairment.
