This study analyzed over 800 academic papers to identify the primary drivers of tunnel-related injuries.

Statistical analysis showed significant associations among traffic facility parameters like position, frequency, and color. By improving the placement of these markers, authorities can reduce the likelihood of \"black spots\" at tunnel portals. Moreover, doctors in emergency medicine must be aware of these patterns. This knowledge helps them advocate for better injury prevention measures in their local communities. Effectively managing vehicle speed and improving visual cues remain the top priorities for reducing trauma cases at these specific locations.
