Diagnosing tuberculosis has long depended on sputum samples. However, many vulnerable patients like children and the elderly struggle to produce sputum. Fortunately, a revolutionary tongue-swab TB test may soon transform decentralized diagnostics across India. A landmark international study published in the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) validated the battery-operated MiniDock MTB platform.
