Understanding that social interest exists—but manifests differently—can prevent the misinterpretation of social withdrawal. Additionally, these insights help families and educators recognize unique social cues in autistic children. By focusing on shared activities and stable environments, professionals can design more inclusive social programs. Ultimately, prioritizing subjective experiences leads to more respectful and effective clinical interactions.
