The review highlights several clinical approaches that show promise. For instance, clinicians can use standardized screeners to identify specific needs. Furthermore, single-session interventions provide a brief yet impactful way to support youth. One notable example is the First Assessment Single-Session Triage (FAST) model. This nurse-led clinical resilience intervention helps triage patients while building immediate coping skills. Additionally, researchers found that these interventions often focus on intrapersonal and interpersonal factors.
Beyond specific models, certain external factors significantly influence a child's resilience. Caregiver support remains one of the most critical elements. Moreover, ensuring easy access to mental health care and supporting social or medical transitions can drastically improve well-being. Although current research is limited, clinicians can still apply these insights to create a more inclusive environment. Therefore, primary care providers should prioritize validated tools to screen for resilience factors during routine visits.
