A phase 2b study evaluated the efficacy & safety of Guselkumab, in patients with moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis (UC). Subjects were randomized to receive intravenous Guselkumab 200 or 400 mg or placebo at weeks 0/4/8. Guselkumab 200 mg or 400 mg showed significant improvement in the clinical status of patients compared to placebo at week 12. Guselkumab IV infusion is safe & effective in severely active UC patients.
