In India, where digital health literacy varies significantly, this trend could lead to delayed diagnosis or the adoption of unproven treatments. Clinicians must actively discuss digital information sources during patient consultations to ensure accurate understanding.
Similarly, the correlation analysis showed that high engagement metrics, such as likes and shares, do not guarantee high endometrial cancer video quality. Many viral videos prioritize entertainment over scientific rigor. Overall, the findings suggest an urgent need for healthcare providers to create high-quality, evidence-based content. By doing so, they can help drown out misleading narratives and improve patient outcomes.
Generally, the reliability of cancer-related videos on TikTok is low. Therefore, patients should use these platforms for general awareness only and consult their oncologist for specific medical advice.
