This meta-analysis evaluated early mobilization versus conventional bed rest after craniocerebral surgery. Early rehabilitation reduced postoperative complications (RR, 0.51; 95% CI, 0.35–0.74; P = 0.0005). Postoperative recurrence was not significantly different (OR, 1.59; 95% CI, 0.53–4.79; P = 0.412), nor was the Glasgow Outcome Scale–Extended outcome (OR, 0.92; 95% CI, 0.51–1.63; P = 0.769). Sensitivity analyses supported the robustness of the complication finding. Conclusion: Early mobilization may reduce postoperative complications, but evidence of improved functional outcomes remains inconclusive.
