A review evaluated the safety & efficacy of cold snare endoscopic mucosal resection (CS-EMR) in 861 patients with colorectal polyps in 11 studies. Results found complete resection rate of 96.3% with CS-EMR. Further, early & delayed bleedings rates were found to be 3.1% & 1.4%, respectively. Although CS-EMR was found to be safe & effective, it did not show superior efficiency compared to cold snare polypectomy & high snare polypectomy.
