Understanding this bond can help doctors in India provide more tailored lifestyle advice. While pet ownership involves a significant commitment, the mental health benefits are substantial. Specifically, the non-judgmental nature of animals reduces the social pressure that typically accompanies human-to-human interactions. Therefore, clinicians might consider discussing the role of pets when evaluating a patient’s support system and stress-management strategies.
