This study explores the prognosis of hepatectomy combined with transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) vs TACE alone for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).1083 patients received TACE alone, and 188 had TACE after surgery. Median OS was higher for the surgery-TACE group (not reached) than TACE alone (28.8 months). A nomogram predicting survival rates was created with AUC values of 0.730, 0.728, and 0.691 for 1-, 2-, and 3-year survival, respectively.
