This study analyzed 778 metastatic breast cancer (MBC) patients (155 with bone-only [BO]-MBC) to assess circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) tumor fraction (TF) as a prognostic marker. Detectable ctDNA was equally likely in BO-MBC and non-BO MBC. Importantly, for BO-MBC patients, a TF of <1% was associated with significantly better real-world overall survival compared to intermediate or high TF. This suggests TF is a prognostic indicator even in BO-MBC.
