Experts analyzed 2,980 type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients, including 190 with myocardial infarction (MI). Results indicated that higher Fibrosis-4 Index (FIB-4) clusters were significantly associated with increased MI risk. A linear relationship between FIB-4 and MI was observed. The association was significant in elderly, obese females, and those with comorbidities. FIB-4 is a promising tool for MI risk stratification in T2DM patients.
