The OPERA I and OPERA II phase 3 trials compared intravenous ocrelizumab with interferon beta-1a in relapsing multiple sclerosis. The trials showed a significantly lower annualized relapse rate with ocrelizumab along with fewer new or enlarging MRI lesions and fewer disability progression events.
