The Indian digital health landscape is witnessing a massive financial boost. Specifically, prominent healthcare venture capital firm HealthQuad has secured Rs 550 crore in first-close commitments for its third fund. Consequently, this milestone marks the beginning of a larger campaign to raise Rs 1,700 crore. Moreover, these funds will support early-growth companies across healthtech, medtech, biopharma, and innovative healthcare delivery models.
The new fund features a greenshoe option that could scale the total corpus to Rs 2,500 crore. Indeed, Sunil Thakur, co-founder of HealthQuad, stated that the firm expects to officially close the fund by mid-2027. Furthermore, existing global and domestic investors have driven these commitments alongside new limited partners. Interestingly, the fund has already deployed its first investment. Specifically, it backed Lifesigns, an artificial intelligence-powered remote patient monitoring system.
This fundraise follows a mutual separation of Kois and Quadria in HealthQuad in 2025. Nevertheless, the platform continues to manage its earlier portfolios. Previously, HealthQuad’s first two funds backed 18 companies, including Qure.ai, Wysa, and Redcliffe Labs. However, the firm now applies a highly rigorous vetting process. For instance, the team studies potential investees for up to four years. Specifically, they focus only on clinical-grade AI that has received solid regulatory clearance.
While Quadria Capital focuses on conventional healthcare like hospitals and pharmaceutical manufacturing, HealthQuad will target technology-led models. Consequently, this strategy ensures a clear division of investment focus. Additionally, HealthQuad operates with a completely standalone structure, team, and limited partner base. Nevertheless, it will leverage Quadria’s extensive regional network. Therefore, this dual-engine approach will help drive both traditional and digital health advancements.

HealthQuad Fund III aims to invest in early-growth companies specializing in healthtech, medtech, biopharma technology, and novel healthcare delivery models.
