This study analyzed 1,152 patients with chronic heart failure (HF) and left ventricular systolic dysfunction to assess sex differences in the prognostic impact of right ventricular dysfunction (RVD). RVD was present in 17% of patients and was associated with worse symptoms, severe LVSD, and higher BNP levels. RVD independently predicted mortality, but this effect was only significant in women, highlighting sex-specific prognostic differences.
