This study of 146 gastric cancer patients treated with PD-1 inhibitors found that higher lipid accumulation product (LAP) and visceral adiposity index (VAI) were independently associated with improved progression-free and overall survival. Multivariate analysis confirmed both indices as protective factors. LAP and VAI are promising metabolic biomarkers to predict immunotherapy outcomes and support the obesity paradox in gastric cancer.
