The state government officially launched the Ayushman Bharat West Bengal initiative to revamp the public healthcare sector. Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari announced a massive Central sanction of around Rs 3,000 crore for this fiscal year. The state will soon sign an agreement in Delhi to join the Ayushman Arogya Mandir network. This agreement will extend crucial healthcare benefits to over one crore migrant workers from the state. Furthermore, the administration plans to recruit doctors and nurses on a priority basis over the next three months. Consequently, this transparent recruitment policy will ensure better patient-to-provider ratios in state-run hospitals.
